Mom & Baby
Two parts are worn together; the inner core can become the child’s independent family heirloom.
How can a bond that precedes birth become an object?
A nested pendant connects two heartbeats, mother and child, in parts that can one day be passed on.

Inside the work
Commission history
The line began with Alexandra Borzikh’s commission following the Synergy Crypto & NFT Forum in Bali in August 2022. In conversation with Olga Arabova, she explored an experience she wanted to preserve: carrying her child and feeling their unity. Balinese craftspeople made the first piece.
Two parts and two rhythms
The source material was CTG recordings containing maternal and fetal rhythms. After several layouts, a nested structure was chosen: a child’s core and a maternal shell. The canonical commission description specifies yellow and white 18-carat gold; later versions use different materials.
Object and family memory
The two parts stay together during pregnancy; the inner part can later be passed to the child. Specific versions include a birth date and a QR link to a personal story. The line includes later pieces and an archived gift to Katya IOWA. Personal pages and source medical records are not published with the work description.
