W.01 / Artistic question

How can rhythm geometry gain depth while retaining its internal logic?

A flat Neuromandala gains volume: four rhythm layers become a pendant and a pair of earrings.

Inside the work

From plane to depth

The commission began with a task to lift a flat Neuromandala from a “Dream” session into volume. A parametric Grasshopper model for Rhinoceros develops the data topology: a diamond frame holds a stepped funnel of nested organic rings.

One story, two scales

Four physical pendant tiers correspond to rhythm layers; cold enamel fills the grooves between walls. The earrings reduce and split the form to expose an internal section. The archived batch specifies sterling silver and rhodium; the approximately 34 × 34 × 6 mm catalogue dimensions belong to a particular silhouette.

The model’s biography

The authors recall that resolving geometric collisions coincided with a significant decision by the client. They retain the episode as part of the commission’s story. The set became a reference for the Vortex silhouette in later studio materials.
